Dr Rachel Sheehan
Performance Psychologist
About Me
I am a Performance Psychologist with over ten years experience as a private consultant to individuals and teams in Ireland and internationally. I have worked with youth, recreational, international and professional athletes who want to optimise their overall performance by “training the brain”.
I have also worked with student-athletes who want to balance their academic and athletic commitments, people who want holistic lifestyle support that encompasses sport and wellbeing and business people who want to to enhance their mental skills for workplace performance, personal matters or recreational sport.
Uniquely, I blend over 30 years of sports practice, including a Division I US college basketball scholarship, 100+ international caps and a professional playing contract, with significant academic qualifications (PhD, MSc, BSc). This background, as well as my ongoing athletic endeavours and professional development, allows me to incorporate both real-life experiences and evidence-based approaches when working with clients.
